RESISTANZ: the 2012 chapter
The official album for the 2012 instalment of the festival - in a limited edition of 300 copies in digipak!
One does not simply make a festival as good as Resistanz .
So clearly one does not simply make an album for Resistanz.
Like the amount of thought that goes into the festival itself, compiling the album of the festival is by necessity an equally taxing and complex task.

C-LEKKTOR: X-Tension In Progress
New album from Mexican masters of harsh-EBM C-LEKKTOR - in a Japan-only 2CD Limited Edition!
“The long-awaited blah-blah-blah…” is for sure an overused phrase in the marketing of music – but nevertheless sometimes it really is the case, and this is definitely one of those cases.
Mexican duo C-LEKKTOR’s 2010 EP “Tendencias Suicidas” was a revelation of frenetic beats and melodic controlled aggression, and also a revelation in sales terms - as copies of the Japanese Limited Digipak Edition literally flew off the shelves in weeks.
Not really knowing how they might sell, we only made 100 – and they were all gone in next-to-no time.
So yes – the second full-length C-LEKKTOR album “X-Tension In Progress” is indeed long-awaited…and it sure as Hell doesn’t disappoint. And as with “Tendencias Suicidas”, for this Japanese Limited Edition we snuck on a couple of personal favourites to round it out – the long-lost rarity “Refusing The Paradise”, in a 2012 remaster, and the orchestral instrumental piece “La Era Del Caos” that shows composer and frontman Markko’s softer side.
Featuring a couple of songs like “In Memoriam” with guest female vocals, plus a couple of tracks like the eponymous “X-Tension In Progress” which take the music more into powernoise territory - plus of course a selection of the harsh-EBM hits that have made C-LEKKTOR a force to be reckoned with in the genre - “X-Tension In Progress” is indeed an “extension” of both “Tendencias Suicidas” and the 2008 debut album “The Silence Procession”.
Like both the previous releases, “X-Tension In Progress” is again powerfully mixed and mastered by Jan L (NOISUF-X/X-FUSION) – who we also called into action to master a limited edition bonus disc “X-Tension Complete”.– which adds a further 15 tracks to the 15 tracks of the CD1.
For “X-Tension Complete” we enlisted a host of the DWA roster like GRENDEL, ALIEN VAMPIRES, CEDIGEST, STUDIO-X, CYGNOSIC, TERRORKODE and DETROIT DIESEL, plus the likes of ACYLUM, FABRIKC, PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1, and EXTINCTION FRONT - while still finding room to feature some fantastic remixes from less-familiar acts like PSYENSE and SCAMP REVOLVER.

Canadian harsh-EBM outfit DETROIT DIESEL declare a "Coup d'Etat" for March 30th...
It is the nature of a “Coup d’Etat” that it is seldom announced in advance.
However, in this case, we make an exception.
Whether the end of the world is as nigh as some prophets of doom predict or otherwise, there can be little doubt that we currently live in tempestuous times. Art has a tendency to reflect its environment – therefore in the aftermath of the “Occupy” protests, continued rioting across Europe, the ongoing “Arab Spring” and the sabre-rattling across the Straits of Hormuz, it should come perhaps as no surprise that DETROIT DIESEL have chosen “Coup d’Etat” as the title of their new album.
Within the space of just one year the Canadian harsh-EBM duo’s debut album “Terre Humaine” already established them as one of the key threats to the current leaders of the dark electro scene.

In 2011, as in the last couple of years, we released around 25 titles on CD + many more digitally. For one reason or another - be it too many mixes of the same track, tracks arriving after the release, release cancelled, whatever - a small stockpile of unused tracks has been accumulating.
As a "Thank You" to everyone for their support in 2011, we have made a compilation of those "Redacted" tracks.
To pre-empt the inevitable question - NO this compilation is NOT available on CD...well..."not yet" at any rate. Yes - we *could* do that. But that would cost at least 500USD to do.
So - we'll run this as a kind of "pledge" system/honesty box:
You can take this FREE if you like. Or you can decide by yourself how much you think its worth to you - and choose to pay that. If enough people pay enough (think of that 500USD figure as "the target"), we'll press this compilation on CD - and contact anyone who paid "something" about getting a copy sent out to them on CD.

SIN DNA: Afterlife

SIN DNA is Texas’ premier dark electro act - headliners of the Texas Industrial Fest on September 24th, and appearing alongside LEAETHER STRIP, DETROIT DIESEL, DISTORTED MEMORY and REAXION GUERRILLA at the Cyber Genetic Winter Festival in Texas on December 3.
Since forming SIN DNA at the end of 2004, the Brownsville-based duo of Mario Carrasco and Sergio Ramirez have shared stages with some of the biggest names in the electro-industrial scene – such as HOCICO, AMDUSCIA, DAWN OF ASHES, DIE SEKTOR, HAUJOBB, XENTRIFUGE, NACHTMAHR, ALIEN VAMPIRES, FGFC820, GOD MODULE and C/A/T.
Despite this lengthy live history, aside from a self-released (and rapidly sold out) demo CD and a handful of compilation appearances, “Afterlife” is SIN DNA’s debut commercial release – and serves as a calling card for the band’s full-length album, due early 2012. Mastered by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN), “Afterlife” is a collection of hard-hitting dancefloor-friendly sounds surely destined to become a staple in clubs around the world.
Title track “Afterlife” itself is an excellent indicator of what separates SIN DNA from the crowd – boasting killer commercial dance sounds and melodic hooks, with flawless polished production.
The song comes in two alternative mix versions on the EP - alongside another 4 catchy and up-tempo tracks and the mournful closing instrumental “All Life Has Faded”.
Perfectly completing the EP is a complement of remixes of 4 different tracks from HOCICO keyboardist Racso’s DULCE LIQUIDO, plus DWA labelmates DYM, REAXION GUERRILLA and SOMAN himself.

Anticipation for the release of “Corrosive Audio” has been running high among TERRORKODE fans since the first 2 fully-functional demos “Whore” and “Motherfuckers” were made available for play on January 1.
TERRORKODE programmers Neural and Sacro threw out the established harsh-EBM blueprint commonly associated with acts from Latin America – opting instead for a sound more in keeping with the European darkrave/hardstyle scene.
Now, after nearly nine months of exchanging and fine-tuning prototypes between Osaka and Bogotá, the final commercial build of “Corrosive Audio” has rumbled off the production line in Dresden - after being mixed and mastered by Kolja Trelle of SOMAN.
12 levels of mechanised mayhem including revisions of the hits “Motherfuckers” and “Whore”, “Corrosive Audio” also features Javi Ssagittar from TERROLOKAUST as the voice of one of the level-bosses. “Sew My Eyes” - released digitally as a stand-alone trailer for “Corrosive Audio” on September 7 - swiftly joined “Motherfuckers” as one of the most-streamed tracks in the history of DWA’s digital platform.
For enhanced play, 4 key levels have been modified by leading third-party developers in Germany like SAM, PHOSGORE, NOISUF-X, and Canada-based sonic architect SEBASTIAN KOMOR – and been re-integrated as bonus features into the final production model.

LATEXXX TEENS: Adrenochrome Redux
The Italian industrial-glam-punk-rockers LATEXXX TEENS return with the album length EP "Adrenochrome Redux" - featuring a rare remix from THE MARCH VIOLETS (featuring Rosie Garland on lead vocals!) and a totally unexpected cover of "Temple Of Love" featuring the vocal talents of Chris Harms from LORD OF THE LOST!

To all die-hard goths the word will forever be synonymous with icons THE SISTERS OF MERCY, being the title of one of their first recordings.
So it is in the “Black October” of this 30th anniversary year of THE SISTERS OF MERCY that Italy’s LATEXXX TEENS now deliver the knowingly-titled “Adrenochrome Redux”.
But this title is no superficial nod to the masters.
“Adrenochrome Redux” includes a stunning (to some probably sacrilegious) cover of “Temple Of Love” featuring LORD OF THE LOST vocalist Chris Harms - plus a remix by long-term SISTERS OF MERCY member Simon Denbigh from recently-revived SISTERS contemporaries THE MARCH VIOLETS, featuring lead vocals by Rosie Garland of THE MARCH VIOLETS herself.
In total, “Adrenochrome Redux” is an epic 13 track round-up of rarities and remixes never before available on CD.
A full "Redux" - of 5 tracks previously only available digitally, of re-recordings of 2 early LXT classics updated to the new live-drum powered LXT sound, of 5 brand new remixes, plus the "Temple Of Love" cover.
The opening 5 tracks find LATEXXX TEENS – who share guitarist Fabrice La Nuit with DOPE STARS INC. – reunited with DOPE STARS INC.’s Victor Love as co-producer. These 5 tracks were originally released in digital form only as the “Adrenochrome” EP, at the end of 2010.
Each track is then given a radical make-over in different styles by different DWA artists - TERROLOKAUST, FREAKANGEL, DYM and SIVA SIX - plus an entirely unexpected re-interpretation from THE MARCH VIOLETS.
And rounding out an already formidable tracklist, all-new re-recordings of the LATEXXX TEENS classics “Viral SublimiNation” and “(S)aint (R)evolution” – originally from the 2006 EP “Moloko & Ultraviolence”.
All 8 tracks not found on the original “Adrenochrome” digital release have been mastered by Jan L at X-FUSION MUSIC PRODUCTION.
Formed in 2003, and inspired by acts like SHOTGUN MESSIAH, MARILYN MANSON, WHITE ZOMBIE, SEX PISTOLS and MURDERDOLLS, Italy’s premier industrial-glam-punk-rock hybrid LATEXXX TEENS are a self-described mix of ‘pop, electro beats, rock attitude and metal violence’.
Their 5-track CD-R demo ‘Latex (De)Generation’ (2004) and Victor Love-produced debut 6-track mini-album ‘Moloko & Ultraviolence’ brought them to the attention of Italian label Decadance Records (2008) and DWA (Limited 2CD Edition: 2009) for the debut album “Death Club Entertainment” – which sold out in Japan within just a couple of months.
While recording “Adrenochrome”, 2010 and 2011 saw LATEXXX TEENS complete their line-up with a live drummer and perform at various festivals across Europe including Austria, Finland and the Czech Republic - alongside the likes of LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE, LETZTE INSTANZ, PARADISE LOST, LORD OF THE LOST and DOPE STARS INC.
Currently recording their second full-length album for 2012 release, LATEXXX TEENS also found time to contribute incredible rock-flavoured remixes of VIGILANTE for DWA’s “Direct World Action for Japan” 2CD and TERROLOKAUST for DWA’s 2CD Limited Edition of “God Loves The Violence”.

Australia has proved to be somewhat of a happy hunting ground for DWA over the last year or so – supplying us with SHIV-R, STUDIO-X and THE CRYSTALLINE EFFECT.
But in the shape of VPROJEKT we have undoubtedly saved the most remarkable for last.
Hailing from the rainforests of the East Coast, VPROJEKT is a dark electronic soundscape worlds away from the beat-driven majority of modern industrial releases, originally brought to our attention by Jay Ruin of CEDIGEST with the prophetic description “So much more than EBM”.
VPROJEKT’s standout sonic signature already caught the ear of no less a scene-figurehead than Johan van Roy of SUICIDE COMMANDO - who not only included the track “Warlord” on his latest “World Wide Electronics 2” sampler, but also agreed to contribute guest vocals to the bonus track “Swarms And Hives”.
Perhaps all the more surprising is that these complex, assured arrangements – which recall the sounds of seminal industrial acts of the 80s and 90s, with a modern production twist – are the work not of some seasoned scene-professional, but rather of young Australian producer Eugene Nesci.
Blending elements from early EBM, ambient and martial-industrial, VPROJEKT – begun purely as an experiment in 2006 – has evolved into perhaps the most significant development in dark electronics to come out of Australia in recent times.
Studiously avoiding any form of sampling, Nesci prefers to create everything from scratch – with the results almost devoid of any clear musical frame of reference.
And as if the 15 track, 76-minute opus that is “Exhilarate & Disgust” were not enough of a statement in itself, the album is also presented in an extended 2CD format - adding a further 8 original tracks and 4 remixes from like-minded artists DIE SEKTOR, AMGOD, LEXINCRYPT and CONTROLLED COLLAPSE.
Mastered for maximum audio definition by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN), the standard edition of “Exhilarate & Disgust” comes in 4-panel digipak designed by Vlad McNeally (Kallisti:Design – SHIV-R, NACHTMAHR, UBERBYTE) and features both “Warlord” and the download-only single “A Kiss Between The Eyes” (DWD145).

Formed in 2006 from the ashes of long-running Spanish industrial-rock outfit SYMAWRATH, following the release of “Gas” TERROLOKAUST spent the next couple of years building a formidable live reputation in their homeland – opening for the likes of HOCICO, COMBICHRIST, DAS ICH, NOISUF-X, GRENDEL, NACHTMAHR, REAPER, XOTOX, STRAFTANZ and IN STRICT CONFIDENCE, before returning to the studio in 2009 to begin composing what would become “God Loves The Violence”.

Featured on MTV America throughout the Christmas and New Year period with their track “Little Drummer Boy” used as the music for commercials for the TV series “Skins”, DWA is now proud to present the brand new feature-length EP from Canadian harsh-EBM/dark electronica duo DYM!
DYM have played live in their native Canada with leading acts such as COMBICHRIST, AMDUSCIA, and PSYCHE – including 2009’s EBM Fest with GRENDEL and DECODED FEEDBACK and Kinetik Festival with GRENDEL, REAPER, SOMAN and AESTHETIC PERFECTION.
After a series of excellent remixes on DWA in 2009 for CEDIGEST (DWA112 - Walking In The Flesh), GRENDEL (DWA919 – Chemicals + Circuitry), ACYLUM (DWA104 – The Enemy), UNTER NULL (DWA106 – Moving On) and C-LEKKTOR (DWA102 – Tendencias Suicidas), DYM have finally completed the follow-up to 2008’s “The Invilid” (NoiTekk/Cop International).
Again merging the sequenced sounds of harsh-EBM with elements of breakcore and glitching, DYM draw influences from “old-school” industrial acts like fellow-Canadians SKINNY PUPPY and the rhythm and noise of VENETIAN SNARES to create their own unique brand of dark and quirky electronica. “The Swarm” is an extended EP/mini-album of 6 brand new tracks plus a colossal bonus section of no less than 10 remixes – one of each track from “The Invilid”, presented in the exact same track order as the original.

“Harshlizer” is Italian aggro-tech act ALIEN VAMPIRES 4th album: and their debut for both DWA (Asia-Pacific) and Alfa-Matrix (Europe/US).
Since the release of their first album “Evil Generation” (2005), and 2 subsequent albums for the American label BLC Productions, ALIEN VAMPIRES have quickly risen to be one of the most talked-about acts in the international harsh-EBM scene: with tracks featured on leading scene compilations like “Endzeit Bunkertracks V” (Alfa Matrix), “Noise Terror 2” (Dependent) and “Extreme Lustlieder” (Indigo).
This year, ALIEN VAMPIRES appeared at Canada’s major industrial music festival KINETIK, alongside the likes of COMBICHRIST, SAM, FGFC820 and KOMOR KOMMANDO.

Weighing in at a massive 75 minutes, new album “Harshlizer” is 15 tracks of the hardest sounds ever to shred a set of speakers: mastered as before by long-term collaborator Jan L (NOISUF-X).
Besides instant club classics like “Evil Bloody Music” and “No Way Back”, the album also features guitar-based pieces like “Her Blood Into My Veins” and “Death March” that recall frontman Nysrok’s former black metal/industrial outfit ABORYM: plus a cover of SUICIDE COMMANDO’s “See You In Hell” featuring Johan van Roy himself on guest vocals.
As could be expected from a band infamous for its use of explicit imagery and provocative titles/lyrics, the X-rated artwork for “Harshlizer” features fetish models in positions intended to offend: already resulting in the European cover being banned by several magazines.

For fans of British industrial icons CUBANATE, it has been a long wait since the 90s when dancefloor anthems like "Oxyacetylene" and "Bodyburn" rocked the clubs week in and week out.

Canadian harsh-EBM act DETROIT DIESEL's album debut "Terre Humaine" has now been mastered by Jan L (NOISUF-X), and artwork by Vlad McNeally (KALLISTI DESIGN) is nearing completion. Accordingly, release of the album is being set for mid-October: with simultaneous release by DWA in Asia-Pacific and Infacted in Europe! "Terre Humaine" comes packed with club hits just waiting to explode...
Another band that caught our ears recently was Peruvian harsh-EBM act REAXION GUERRILLA. Plans for an EP soon turned into a full-length debut album, after hearing how many powerful tracks they had. "I Hate You" is now being mastered by Jan L, for full sonic aggression! The album features guest vocals from Johan van Roy of SUICIDE COMMANDO on the track "Psycho Destruxion". Combining hard electronics and guitars, FREAKANGEL is the dark and dirty industrial opposite of frontman Dmitry’s well-known electro-pop project SUICIDAL ROMANCE (DWA110: Shattered Heart Reflections). Where SUICIDAL ROMANCE are sweet, FREAKANGEL sicken. Where SUICIDAL ROMANCE seduce the listener’s ear, FREAKANGEL rapes it and tears it apart.
